A newspaper article on CTAL which has its text transcribed below. There is a photo of the four-member band. Nick is slightly tilted towards the camera while Simon, Jon and Stevie are standing in a line and look visibly shorter than him. Simon and Stevie face him while Jon faces the camera directly.

Transcript

The band who've been obliged to change their "outrageous" name for the American market made a whistle stop visit to Coventry this week before jetting off to the States.

Kissing The Pink were told that they'd never be accepted in prudish America without a name change, prompting the new look abbreviated KTP.

As a jet-lagged Nick Whitecross, the band's lead vocalist, told Paul On Pop:
"We changed our sound and style when we met up with Pete Walsh (of Simple Minds reputation). He produced the One Step single which became a hit in Italy and Holland, although it flopped in the UK."

Kissing The Pink were formed in the early eighties and scored a top twenty placing for their second single "The Last Film" accompanied by an LP "Naked" which although not a commercially big album, enjoyed industry praise.

Following a period of relative inactivity the band slimmed down from seven to four, changed their name and after being influenced by American dance music changed their sound. The new KTP are more chart oriented - Nick claims that the forthcoming LP has at least three more singles on it - "if Madonna can do it, why can't we?"

The band, who've recently been championed by Italian Television, plan to tour the States for about six months, travelling both the East and West coasts, meanwhile they're hoping for a hit with "Never Too Late to Love You."

Notes

Fixed some very minor punctuation errors the original had for ease of reading.

Like other CTAL press, The Last Film is mistakenly referred to as the band's second single.
