A review of Love Lasts Forever

Number One (11 June 1983)

A screenshot of a magazine clipping. To the right there is text which is transcribed below, and under that there is large lettering reading Kissing the Pink. To the left, there is an image of the band which is used in other press. It consists of the 6-person Naked lineup standing in a white room. Stevie leans forward towards the camera, his arms grabbing the back of a chair. George sits in front of him on that chair, with his fist at his chin. To George's left, Nick also sits, although it's hard to tell if he's sitting on something. To George's right, Peter kneels and grabs onto the chair for stability. In front of George, Jo sits on the floor. To the left of them all, Jon is standing and looking down at the rest of them.

Transcript

This motley crew look like students on Rag Day, acting wacky and playing the fool.

They have a lot of ideas but little identity; name me a member of Kissing The Pink and I'll name you the next Derby winner.

Unfortunately, too, most of their ideas other people had first — in this case Talking Heads and The Human League.

Still, like, 'The Last Film', this is all chorus and percussion and catchy enough to chart.

When Kissing The Pink Stop being so intelligent they'll become more than curiosities.
