The satellite is spinning 'round
From where I stand there was no sound
And I look up to heaven sky
It looks at me with a sad eye
And I can't believe it's over, I've never been so high
And I can't believe it's over, I'll forever wonder why
And the stars, they're so cool
They don't act like a fool
They're just watching me watching you
And the stars, they're so cool
They don't act like a fool
They're just watching me watching you
(Watching me watching you, watching me watching you)
The satellite is leaving now
It's winked away from here
somehow
And if I could, I'd hitch a ride
And leave a sign I never cried
And I can't believe it's over, I've never been so high
No I can't believe it's over, I'll forever wonder why
And the stars, they're so cool
They don't act like a fool
They're just watching me watching you
And the stars, they're so cool
They don't act like a fool
They're just watching me watching you
(Watching me watching you, watching me watching you)
(Satellite)
(Satellite)
And the stars, they're so cool
They don't act like a fool
They're just watching me watching you
(Watching me watching you, watching me watching you)
And the stars, they're so cool
They don't act like a fool
They're just watching me watching you
Yes, the song has technically been corrected to the proper "satellite" now instead, via the Anthology's spelling.
But they haven't fixed it on the Bandcamp so I'll keep it the typo in the title, but not the lyrics, similar case to Buddhas Words.
Jon doesn't sing any distinct words worthy of needing to colour code this song.
The rhyme of "cool" and "fool" is also used in Black Suit and My Light
Show.
Haven't checked the W-fest version but I have heard a clip of the Anthology version and it seems like the tense was changed from past to
present for whatever reason.
